...old donkey-herder still employed despite being crap at donkey-herding.
I've been a bit quiet on the Dumbarton from recently.
Following on my from last post, Jim Chapman did indeed go. But not totally. He's been bumped upstairs into the post of "Director of Community and Football Development". A grand title but probably just what Jim was doing anyway - minus the management of the first team.
What was most disturbing was the amount of corporate-speak bollocks that appeared in the club's official press release.
"After discussions, Jim has accepted the post of Director of Community and Football Development as he is of the belief that the holistic development of the Club is of prime importance."
"Holistic"!??! - are you fucking kidding me?
Anyway, new Interim Manager, Alan Adamson, has managed to get a couple of wins under his belt against East Fife and Ayr United and even managed to retain the Stirlingshire Cup (see here for video of last season's Cup hoisting). Today, he will be in charge in the Scottish Cup against Greenock Morton at The Rock.
Should be a tough game.
