An absolute shocker this one. Dickie was torn to shreds by the Forfar number 11 and was subbed after just 34 minutes. The goals went like this:-
1st goal. Cross from left fell to six yard line. Forfar player unmarked, Kenny didn't come for it. Goal.
2nd goal. Forfar player picks up ball almost in own half from Dumbarton corner. Beats three Dumbarton players and rounds Kenny Meechan. Goal.
3rd goal. Long clearance from keeper following Dumbarton attack. Brittain caught upfield. Kenny comes running out. Forfar player gets there first. Lobs Kenny. Goal.
4th goal. Clever turn and cross to unmarked Forfar player. Scores despite Kenny getting his legs to it. Goal.
5th goal. Cross or corner. Free header at six yard line. Goal.
Other highlights:-
Flannery coming close with a header. Flannery putting the ball over the bar from 6 yards with left foot. Was subbed shortly after and took the hump and ran straight into the dressing room followed by Jimmy Brown.
Kenny Meechan taking the hump because I said "Every game, Kenny" when he hit the ball straight out the park from a bye kick.
John McCormack giving Kenny Meechan another terrible backpass. At least Kenny had learned his lesson from the previous week and picked the ball up, giving away an indirect free kick in the box.
