It's been hard trying to drum up the enthusiasm to write this match report. The game was that bad. I said to the lads in the pub before the game that Dumbarton wouldn't score and I was right.
In the first half Cowdenbeath were well on top. They were quicker to the ball, stronger in the challenge, neater with the passing than the shambolic Sons.
The 2 goals were almost identical. A cutback from the byeline to penalty spot where a Cowden player ran on to the ball. The first attempt was saved by Keeny Meechan but the ball spilt out and was put into back of the net. Quite simple really.
I don't recall the Sons creating any serious chances at all and we didn't even look like competing until the second half when Mooney, Ward and Flannery were brought on.
Wallace must go.
