I can't think of anything to write for this report as it was a dull, dull game.
Dumbarton's line up took on a unusual look what with Mooney being suspended, Brittain not in the squad for whatever reason and a trialist in the midfield who played unspectacularily. Shug Ward played from the start but couldn't get going and was subbed after being virtually invisible in the second half.
Both teams struggled to make chances and we counted 4 shots on target for each side during the whole game. The match was settled by another "controversial" penalty award. Some wee County substitute jinked by a couple of Sons players, got into the box and decided to fall at the next challenge. It looked as it he deliberately left his foot hanging back and Bruce clipped it. The penalty was duly dispatched. And that was that. Dumbarton never looked like pulling it back but County didn't look like scoring again either.
