Dumbarton 1 Albion Rovers 1

Dire. Absolutely dire. What an awful game this was. Dumbarton made a few changes to the team (no Turbo or Grace) that played so well against Alloa and it seemed to knock them for six.

I don't recall there being any serious chances in the first half at all. At least the second half had a wee bit of excitement. Albion's goal in the 66th minute came from slopping defending at a corner, so no surprise there then.

It wasn't until Ward and Glancy came that Dumbarton made any serious threats on the Albion goal. Glancy (I think!) missed a sitter in the 6 yard box and there was a shot that from where we were standing looked as if it was in. But it had hit the pole that supports the net.

The equalizer came with almost the last kick of the ball. Ward chipped over a free kick and Colin McKinnon glanced the ball into the net. Five seconds after the restart, the game was over.

A satisfactory result perhaps, but the overall performance was dreadful.
